Recycling: Bins located behind the Avalon Borough building parking lot (by the Police Station) and also at the entrance of the Avalon Pool on New Brighton Road. 

NO CARDBOARD PLEASE!!!  Will accept junk mail, magazines, catalogs, newspaper advertisements and other items. No phone books. See the containers for additional items accepted.  

January 2017 begins a new 5 year contract with Waste Management. The cost per unit for 2017 will be $197.88.  Weekly curbside waste collection pickup.  Bi-weekly recycling.  NO Hazardous Household Waste collection.  No televisions will be collected.  Refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers, water coolers - anything with freon - must be have the freon removed first and be red tagged or collected by a contractor of your choice.  
The Recycling Calendar you received from Waste Management states that "wax coated paper or cardboard" is NOT an accepted recyclable.  However, milk cartons, juice boxes and other small items, are, in fact recyclable.  Click on the following link for more information - www.recyclecartons.com

Need a new recycling bin?  Visit the Avalon Borough Administration Office and purchase one for $10.00.

If you have not received a billing for the current year, please contact
Waste Management at 1-800-866-4460

If you are a new owner and your property is 3 units or less and have not received

your bill, please call Waste Management or your garbage will not be collected. 

 
Your garbage missed this week? Is your payment past due? Do you have building materials or unacceptable items in your trash? Do your cans weight more than 50 lbs? Those are just a few reasons the driver will decide your trash cannot be removed.  Call Waste Management immediately to remedy the situation.
