It's Street Sweeping Season! Please move your car in accordance with the post signs to avoid a $25.00 ticket. You can also review Street Sweeping Parking Regulations. Let's work together to make the streets of Avalon a little cleaner. ****** The Borough of Avalon announces they currently have one (1) vacancy on the Zoning Hearing Board. The Council of the Borough of Avalon is accepting letters of interest from qualified Avalon residents to serve a three (3) year term that will end May 31, 2029. Interested persons should fill out the vacancy application. Applications are also available at the Borough Building. Applications should be submitted along with a letter of interest and current resume to the Borough Manager via email, mail, or personal delivery to the Avalon Borough Building, 640 California Avenue, Avalon, PA 15202 on or before 4:00 pm, Monday, April 27, 2026. ****** Swim season is just around the corner. The Avalon Community Pool is hiring lifeguards and managers! Interested candidates can text SWIM to 464646 for more information or to apply. All hiring is done through American Pool. ****** The Borough of Avalon Department of Public Works is accepting applications for part-time seasonal workers. Spend the summer outside, mowing grass and helping the crew maintain Borough properties - we guarantee our seasonal employees will gain valuable experience. Pay is $18.00/hour.
