The Avalon Community Pool will open Saturday, June 14, 2025! Pool passes can be purchased at the Avalon Borough Administrative Office beginning Monday, May 12, 2025. Check out our Parks and Recreation page for more information.
Pittsburgh Regional Transit is facing a funding crisis. Proposed service cuts and fare increases could significantly impact Avalon residents.

Avalon Borough is accepting applications for a full-time Department of Public Works Maintenance Worker. More information can be found on the Borough's Employment Opportunities page. Applications must be submitted by 4:00 pm on Monday, June 30, 2025.
American Pool is currently accepting applications for lifeguards and gate guards for the Avalon Community Pool Summer 2025 Season. For more information, text SWIM to 464646 or call 412-781-5950.
Avalon Borough will be celebrating its 150-year anniversary in 2025! We need help from residents to make this event special. If you have historical photos, artifacts, or stories about Avalon that you would like to share, we would love to talk to you. We also encourage any resident who is interested in planning the celebratory event to attend a committee meeting. The next Sesquicentennial Meeting will be:
