Waste Management:
The communities participating in the Quaker Valley Council of Governments negotiated a five-year contract with Waste Management that runs from 2022 through 2026. The yearly cost per unit for 2023 will be $274.32 ($22.86 per month). The contract includes weekly curbside waste collection pickup and every other week recycling pickup.
Waste Management will help you dispose of bulky items, such as mattresses and box springs, bed frames, cabinets, sofas and furniture items. However, a special pick up must be scheduled - please do NOT place these items out with the weekly curbside collection items. Visit www.wm.com for more information.
E-waste recycling is also included in the current Waste Management contract, but arrangments must be made through Waste Management for a special pick up.
Pickup Day for Avalon Borough is Thursday.
